Olympic weightlifting is a beautifully technical sport that can be utilised by every day exercisers and serious competitors alike! Classic weightlifting focuses on the Clean & Jerk and Snatch movements. Our talented and knowledgeable head weightlifting coach, Bryce Knight, will teach you how to move your body efficiently and safely through these movements and how to cater your progressions to suit your goals and capabilities.

We have a dedicated weightlifting area, lovingly referred to as the “Oly Room”. Here you will find several weightlifting platforms which are specifically designed to optimise your training and ensure you have all necessary equipment easily accessible to you during your sessions. We also have resistance training equipment to aid with accessory work: including cable machines, leg extension, hamstring curl, leg press, landmine etc.

Whether you join our weightlifting club, Thunder Barbell, or follow your own program - our we have the facilities and expertise to get you moving that barbell like butter!
