
RUN CLUB
THURSDAY 5AM (Offsite)
Please note: HPT Run Club takes place offsite. Meet the crew at GG’s The Coffee Tree (2 Hervey Range Rd, Thuringowa)
Run Club is interval-based training and sessions are adapted depending on your fitness level. All sessions include a warm-up jog, drills, the main session and a cool down jog. The goal of these sessions is to give participants the tools, knowledge and confidence to train themselves in the future.
The sessions are progressive in nature and are aimed to prepare participants for upcoming running events within the community. Participants from any age and experience level are encouraged to attend if they’re interested in improving their running. However, you must be a current HPT member to attend these sessions.
Sessions always begin at our meeting spot (GG’s), with our drills moving us to a different location to begin the main portion of the session. In the warmer months it is advised to bring a small water bottle, hat and sunscreen to each session.
These sessions are led by Simon O’Regan who is a valued member of our HPT community and a highly qualified running coach. Reach out to Simon at the gym if you have any questions about our HPT Run Club. Simon is also able to provide our members with a copy of his programming for each session or a general program for 10km or half marathon training.
